I just found a new excellent site called PatternMart! I found this site at CafeMom where I just joined a group called “Crafting for Profit.” The owner of that group is also the owner of PatternMart.

She also has some other really cool websites that you might want to check out if you’re into primitive country crafts.

Lettering Delights is not exclusively a prim site but they have this really cool selection of fonts and other selections of bundles and scrapbooking stuff, and alphabets. I’m not to sure what to do with all these other stuff but the fonts I’m definitely interested in.

I signed up for their newsletter a while back and received a set of free fonts of which I use all the time.

Not only do they give out these free fonts but they have specials all the time on many of the other items. There was a time when they were have a $1.00 sale on fonts but I didn’t quite know how to download it to my fonts folder so I didn’t get any. Since then I’ve learned to download fonts thanks the Cheryl Seslar from Raggedy Scrappin.

By the way, Cheryl Seslar also has some of her art work for sale at Lettering Delights.

Their prices are really reasonable for the fonts and other graphic stuff you can get at Lettering Delights. Please give them a visit…I know you’ll find something.

Another website I just love is FlexibleMolds. I’ve been on their mailing list for a few months now. They’re always adding new molds to their already wide selection of products.

They have really cool molds that are shaped like nuts and toppings. There’s walnuts, raisins, almonds, and pecans.  These would look great atop any of the candles you make from the bakery, pies, or ice cream molds.

Their molds are endless, you really just have to go to their site and look at everything. They sure make making candle wax tarts a fun activity!

For Valentine’s Day they have loads of hearts! My favorite is of course, the prim heart. But if heart’s isn’t your thing there’s also flowers, angels, and cherubs.

She also accepts PayPal and uses the free PayPal graphic by Prim Graphics.

If you like making candles and you’re into primitive country crafting this is a great site to look for molds.

For the past 5 years now I’ve been surfing the net and looking up all these prim sites. I bookmarked most of them and some I even reviewed on my StumbleUpon page. I especially love to incorporate my love of primitive country art to my home based candle business. I continuously think of ways I can use any primitive patterns I find on the internet. Some patterns are free and some have to be bought. Because I’m on such a tight budget while building my home based candle business I mostly take advantage of the free stuff and stuff on special.

Because of the guilt of only taking advantage of the free stuff I wanted to do something that hopefully would help the people that I take advantage of. It’s not much but it’s something I can do that helps me and them.  This being said I’d like to now talk about a cool embroidery club that I discovered years ago and bookmarked for future reference.

It’s called “PrimiStitch” and is sponsored by “HeartStrings Embroidery.” Here you can join the “PrimiStitch” club for $5.00 a month and they will send you 10 new designs per month which comes up to only $.50 per pattern. That is an amazing deal!

See my banner? I made that using the free fonts that I got from Raggedy Scrappin. I used Cool Dots which is really just too cool! For the background I used Power Point. Simple but that’s all I can do for now!

Today I’m going to write about another of my favorite prim sites. It is a site owned by Cheryl Seslar called Prim Graphics. I’ve been looking at her site for quite awhile now. I downloaded some free graphics from her site long time ago and book marked the site. I haven’t been able to use any of the graphics yet but I have them for future use.

Please be aware that anytime free graphics are downloaded the terms, guidelines, and/or policies should always be read first.

I am a stickler for not going over boundaries and like to give credit where credit is due and respect the artists.

I’ve been dabbling with graphics myself (a real, real, amateur) and I have a lot of fun but it takes soooo long! Plus I’m not a great artist. So when people offer stuff for free I really respect the fact that they’re offering us something very valuable and to that end I really would like to dedicate this blog to those kinds of people.

Today, what I’m really excited about, is that I downloaded a bunch of fonts from Raggedy Scrappin which is another website owned by Cheryl Seslar. Not only does she share the fonts with you but she gives you a very easy to follow guide to download the fonts and make it so that you can use the fonts on Microsoft Word and other programs.

I’m so excited I could SCREAM! You see, a long time ago I tried to download some fonts from somewhere else but hadn’t a clue as to how to do it. Very computer illiterate here but doggedly determined to learn.

Threadbare Primitives is one of my favorite places to look for Primitive patterns designed by Folk Artist Susan Dean. Not only does she design patterns at a very affordable price she also offers finished products for sale on her site and on eBay.

What’s really cool is if you join her mailing list she offers specials on an e-Pattern. It changes weekly and once the pattern changes it is no longer available for that very wonderful price of $3.50 (maybe subject to change but for now that’s what she’s offering it for.
